Hi, I'm Melanie! Thank you so much for visiting my website.  I am a registered dietitian with a Master of Science in Nutrition from Bastyr University.

Plant-based nutrition is my passion.  In a world where there is constantly a new fad diet or nutrition recommendation popping up, one thing remains the same: plant-based diets rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts and seeds are always associated with improved health and lower rates of chronic illness. 

​

Yet, many people still do not meet their recommended intakes of these wonderful plant-based foods. It is my goal to help more people incorporate more of these healthful foods into their diet.

​

I created The Plant Path as a way to help people like you eat more plant-based foods for improved health. I want you to get excited about food and nutrition and reconnect with whole, nourishing ingredients - as well as the joy of cooking and eating nutritiously!  It does not have to be expensive, and it does not have to take you hours in the kitchen.

​

It is my goal to be the bridge between nutrition science and the implementation of lifelong healthful habits.  Through sharing my favorite wholesome recipes and helpful resources I will assist you in meeting your health goals, one step at a time.  I hope you find the information here helpful to you on your journey, and of course feel free to contact me!
